Programs like The Bill and Casualty occaisionally have some car stunts but only in season finales where they've saved up their money and they still look amatuerish. Soaps like Eastenders sometimes kill off main characters like Grant Mitchell and the one played by Martin Kemp in elaborate (by British TV standards) car crashes, which are probably quite entertaining if you've been sitting through months of dreary, badly made British soap opera.

I remember watching this big tunnel crash in Holby City or something last Christmas, I don't watch the show, I just happened to turn it on just there this huge pile in a tunnel, it was a bit over-the-top, like they'd saved up a big jar of money and just dumped it all on this scene to get some good ratings at Christmas.

How good are the stunts and chases overall, compared to films? Is this almost like what you'd get if you made a TV series out of Ronin?

I saw the newest episode on thursday:
I just want to list the car action which I saw there:

At the beginning a part of a highway was blown up. I remember some cars which were destroyed then: a silver Jaguar XJ (yes, they always destroy them :( ), a dark Pontiac Transport, a dark BMW E36 ,a red Ford Mondeo Turnier, a red Mini Cooper and several others...

Then there was a car chase between Semir and Chris and various police cars:
Chris and Semir drove a new silver Mercedes (I don't know the exact model) and the car was damaged
there were lots of police cars but I will only listen the crashd ones for now: a VW Golf Variant crashed into a Ford Mondeo Turnier, later an Opel Omega crashed into a Ford Mondeo (no turnier) and at the end of the chase the silver Mercedes crashed into another Opel Omega and a Ford Mondeo which were used to block a street.

Then there is a car chase at the end of the episode:
The villain stole a bus and crashed into lots of cars: a Nissan Sunny, a Seat Arosa,...
Semir and Chris had an Audi A4 B5 which was damaged a lot although it was still able to drive.
The bus exploded after it hit a gas station.

I'm sorry, no offence, but the car chase in Ronin between the BMW 535i and the Peugeot 406 was not very realistic. The cars drove very fast through the traffic, odd background cars crashed into each other but the main cars weren't damaged at all until the chase ended (and I still feel sorry for the BMW :( it didn't deserve to end like that).
The Cobra 11 chases are more realistic, important cars that are driven by the main characters get damaged or even destroyed during chases, they get involved into the action.

You are definetly not a car chases fanatic if you say such thing, to say that Ronin is not realistic and Alarm For Cobra with its as-high-as-a-mountain car flips is? :p Ronin is one of the most realistic chases ive ever seen, why would the main car chase cars would get damaged if they dont crash into anything? and in Alarm For Cobra like in many other movies car roll over or flip over as easy as when a van hits a bush in the A Team so i really cant believe you said that.

Well why not? along big avenues with several lanes to drive its possible, and Ronin doesnt show us anything unrealistic while the streets driving, if anything happens they show it, like when the BMW hits a motorbike or causes traffic accidents, the only scene in the whole chase i'd say is probabaly the most unrealistic is the wrong ay sequence, specially at soem bits in where the traffic cars dont move but only the car chase cars.

I think Alarm für Cobra 11 is the German version of CHIPs because it takes place on the German freeways as the title says, and like its American model, there's a lot of spectacular crashes in every episode!!!

This is the one of my (rare) favourite German TV-series with "The Clown"! And I've noticed that the cars which are destroyed in spectacular accidents are often Jaguar XJs, BMWs, Volkswagens, Audis, Opels, European Ford models, Land Rovers, Benzinos and Alfa Romeos! And the cars that the production company often destroys are red or grey!!!

The TV-station RTL offers a private prolongation of the "Abwrackprämie", the government-paid wrecking bonus, we had from the 14th of January until Beginning of September this year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1ZaDYoRavw

When you give your own car to the Cobra 11-team for stunts, RTL pays 2500 € for it. And you can decide yourself, on which way your car shall be destroyed.

I always wanted to know what people find so interesting in this series. They wrecking cars there, okay, in America they do it so, it has to be copied from there. I watched one episode and as a policeman I can say, it will not happen on our streets here in Germany, we have no chases here (only in big cases if somebody has stolen a tank or something). And nobody from the German police would shoot with his gun into the traffic - it's nonsensical to believe. Don't worry, it's only an information. And, if I see my brother (I have a brother, he watches this series all the time in TV) driving like this... For God's sake, he will be killed in an accident (and he can't get out of the vehicle without any scratches) - and he drives like this if he take place in his Audi...
So, please, don't let this happen to you what they always do there. The last thing is: Here in Germany we have many people without a car - why they do not give the cars to the people who needs them? And I don't like to see cars going to be wrecked if they still drivable. Think about it, maybe you will agree.

And come on, it's not because Americans are famous for their big stunts that is means that Action Concept is reproducing the same in Germany. I seriously doubt you are an actual policeman. But anyway, Cobra 11 is just an action series... there's no need to take it as seriously as you do!

@ Cobra ELF: Yes, I do not like action films and serie like "Cobra 11" because to many people take it to seriously (like my brother - he made almost some accidents because it). I know many people copying these things into the "real" world, I don't know why but I think everyone who have problems with the fictional/reality should not watch this series (or something like this). And I don't like american action films with very unbelievable stunts.
Okay, maybe the cars are dead, but I don't like to see when they wreck rare cars - if it's an old VW Golf III - no problem, but not very old or rare cars. And I don't like the way they show the police - it's impossible to do that one the German streets (otherwise you will be thrown out of the police) But - in the other way - you maybe right - I have to much problems with it. But we are free people with our own views to every thing. So, we have to respect each other (and his view) and everything will be better (I hope so).
So, last but not least: I read about a chase near Kassel (Kassel is in the north of Hessen, a German state). Here is the link to the report of it (it's in German, of course, but there are ways to translate it):

But it's the exception.

If someone knows correspondance between IMCB classification and IMCDb classifications for Ep.18.4, Ep.19.4 and Ep.26.02 it would be a great help. Thank you :)

By wachting the new trailer for Season 30, there are a few things I noticed:
- One episode takes place in Turkey
- A new Audi A8 gets involved in action
- The blue BMW Z4 listet aboves crashes
- Semir and Ben drive a Pontiac Firebird which looks like KITT
- They destroy a Chevrolet Silverado
- They destroy a Hummer
- They destroy some Buicks painted like American police cars
- Ludger Pistor, who played the Swiss banker in "Casino Royale" has a role in one episode

Slowly robi and m.pfaffeneder : Neon is still adding.
It is him who manages/completes this series, so please let him continue to do that, like what who do for all series: the one who started it and is still active on it has priority for adding vehicles of new episodes, other members can still add those which were missed in episodes already covered.

Well, sorry, I thought I will add a few missing cars from the last season, cause the new season starts in Germany at the 15. September, so I thought that Neon doesn´t add new cars on this series.

@antp: Is it OK to add thumbnails of cars from the actual season which are already added on IMCDB?

I added a London Bus from an episode that is allready covered.
Here´s a picture in real life of it, it belongs to a (now abandoned) technical museum in Bad Oeynhauen, which is mentioned by Tom Kranich in the episode as he tries to identify the location.
Link to "www.myheimat.de"

The museum is in a real bad condition, several Soviet military planes, helicopters, tanks and trucks as well as smaller Wehrmacht tanks are rusting in the open air (according to the site I linked), the most rare exponats are a North American P-47 Thunderbolt and a Junkers Ju-88 found in a lake in the Netherlands.

Robi, it's too fuzzy. I've see the episode some days ago and you can barely see a red fuzzy 'thing'... You need to go frame-by frame for capture it. Anyway, since it's interesting add it in your comment about the museum

It's an okay show, some of the crashes look realistic. They should however put more new-cars in it. Would look 1000x more awesome! :D

Would be around 20% cooler! :D
