Very faked "overpainted rusty parts" - all at areas, where a 32B-Passat doesn't rust. But at the very typical part it's rustfree: the lower back edge of the front doors. Ah, and it's a 1983/84-model-year, as it's the CL-trim-line. The first two years it was still named "LS". @rljuna2: on the main pic you can see, that it has the optional fog-lamps in the small inner lamps. In the typical VW-style they were available for the more basic versions only for extra charge. So at many Passat's these "foglamps" were only empty plastic-boxes. |

P.S. The last thumbnail, shall it be a lame copy of the last "Bluesmobile"-scene? |

We have quite similar setup with 1987 or later Pontiac 6000 and et al sold in our market as well with optional integral foglights The one without usually have different grille instead of the blank ones... (I believe this may be more expensive arragement by our manufacturing methods ) |

P.S. Have you seen, that on the main pic the Passat has tape around the frontscreen, but on the other pics not? Maybe they put a plastic foil for safety-reason over the frontscreen. Maybe it was still "Sekurit"-glass, as until the mid-80ies laminated frontscreens still had cost extra charge at VW. My father's 1981 Passat LS [32B] Hatchback had Sekurit-glass, as I remember. |

Perhaps they removed the original windscreen and replaced the plastic one for this stunt sequence... |

Probably the same car Action Concept used (and wrecked) frequently during the first season of "Wilde Engel"? ETA: Definitely is the same one. It has the same license plate. -- Last edit: 2023-11-03 22:05:18 |
