And it were even more... If I recall correctly, they needed several cars for the last scene shown above with the "flying" Porsche. |

With such jump they must have destroyed some, even if not visible on screen -- Last edit: 2008-03-15 21:00:01 |

If you are talking about the episode of the jump then they destroyed at least, perhaps two, one was destroyed the first time the jump was done cause the car hit the Volvo on the bridge and fliped and landed onto its roof if im right, and the second time for obvious reaons, landing from a so high heigh damage the car. I think i saw the making off of this on youtube, ill try to look for it. |

Because they are hard to sell in used and not perfect condition. If you read a buyer's guide for old premium cars like the 928 (or for example BMW 6- and 7-Series, Jaguar XJ-S, Mercedes C 126 and so on) in classic-car-magazines, it's always written sentences like "buy the best car you can get, well preserved and treatenend, low mileage and all sevices only done by the official garage. Otherwise such cars in rough condition can cause big desasters with you money, your nerves, your time and so on". And last but not least: for tax-reasons older cars, but newer than 30 years, without a catalysator (or an old one), are extremely expensive to drive in Germany. The bigger the engine is, the tax will increasing. So cars like the 1987 Porsche 928 above are nowadays very cheap to buy in Germany - but nearly noone buys them ,because of the extreme following costs. |

For the main black and 1st thumbs, the driven car looks genuine 92 GTS, but the jumper has older rectangular mirrors and no side moulding, so is a much older 78-82 plain 928 with GTS wheels and 87+ front and rear panels. The exploding ep 14.02 car is 87+= S4. |

Wasn't this the stunt where the guy complained that he "was never getting any action"? |

Indeed, that was a colleague of the then RTL boss Helmut Thoma. |
