Why 1997? |
◊ 2020-10-27 12:26 |
In Italy it was introduced in January 1997, so I imagine also in the rest of Europe |

Ah the 1996s are listed wrong then |

I'm not totally sure for other EU markets, but here Clarus dates are: January 1997 introduced, June 1998 restyled, July 1998 Wagon introduced, January 2000 Sedan discontinued (I guess in other EU countries may have lasted longer), December 2000 Wagon discontinued. |

Why does Kia face lift before the new model year so annoying. |

German wiki says it came in July 1996 for Europe. |

Darn Bux48. I’ll have to look at each market. UK received the 1999-2001 model. Other parts of europe received earlier. Germany 05/96 debuted the Clarus. Not sure if Germany uses MYs. Indeed the chassis code is [GC]. Link to "www.adac.de" Link to "www.adac.de" |

So you had it some months earlier (I checked the dates I said on my magazines) Anyway here pre facelift ones were almost non existent (I didn't even remember we got it), whereas you could see the face lifted ones, especially the Wagon. EDIT: The issue with these is indeed that each market had their own start/end dates..and not every market got the same models at the same time (for example Germany had the Magentis since 2001, whereas we got it since 2004) EDIT 2: Well, I see in Dhill's links that in Germany the Clarus lasted even to November 2001.. -- Last edit: 2020-10-27 16:55:40 |

was that thing based on the Sonata ? if so , no wonders why it changed so much, Sonata changed three times between 1995 and 1999 .. and that's only on our market.. |

It was based on the 1992-96 Mazda 626. |
