stronghold ◊ 2006-07-17 10:17	..I don't think I have any other episodes (..I used to tape lots of odd tv cop/action shows in the 80's ... loads of odd episodes on lots of vhs tapes.!!) ...this show was a little too slow for me.! The third is also a Craftsman. I've heard it is on Lord Street in Southport NC, which is near Wilmington NC. Is this the same one?

ahight ◊ 2007-07-08 21:00	The one in my photo is on Adams St in Wilmington which is close to Southport. The owner told me that they added things to the porch just for the show. It's funny that it looks similar to your geocities link on Universal Studio's Colonial St. Did he move in the series, or did they just switch his house? It could be from one of the Matlock movies. I'm currently watching "The Witness Killings" (1991) which IMDB says was filmed here in Wilmington, NC. -- Last edit: 2007-07-08 21:32:09
Matlock ◊ 2007-07-10 17:22	That house on the Colonial St. was once painted white with green trim and was used in several episodes. I don't know of him moving and most of the houses in the series were similar and in similar color.

It looks more like the one here in NC than the one on the Colonial St link. Episode 7.14 (The Obsession) they use the Wilmington Court House. They stand by the fountain seen from Water St. and he walks up Market St. when the lady comments that he walked by a hotdog cart without even looking at it. Maybe this is the house in Southport. If they used the one in Wilmington for Season 8 or 9, then I wonder if they got sick of driving back and forth to Southport. -- Last edit: 2007-07-20 04:00:01

Matlock ◊ 2007-07-20 19:30	LOL, I watched that episode today and took a picture of the Beretta and thought 'wow, how did that end up on here.' Also, the 1988 Ford Crown Victoria was Matlock's from Season 3-6, should be 3 stars. BTW, it's parked in front of the Colonial St. house.

Matlock ◊ 2007-07-28 00:16	The pictures you posted in the comments section of the 1992 Ford Crown Vic are actually a 1993 model. I'll try to submit another picture of the front of the 1992 model to show tha difference.

It answered alot of questions for me. The beginning seemed familiar, but the rest wasn't. I noticed they used Billy's beach house again, I'm surprised. I notice the eagle isn't over the door on the tv show.

The scene where the cops arrive there's a short white(left) and tall white house(right) in the background on the same street. ahight ◊ 2007-09-07 01:56	funny you ask..i just finished adding 1 of those 2 for my neighborhood website. The green one I haven't found yet, might be in another neighborhood. The other and the one from Episode 12 are in mine. I've also attached street views of that blue house and the ones in the background. and in Episode 13 where the city is obviously a set, where they're playing basketball is an old building that used to be the school for my neighborhood - built around 1918. -- Last edit: 2007-09-07 02:46:48

ahight ◊ 2007-09-15 20:39	I'll check with the owner next time I see her and ask about the eagle. I noticed in a couple Season 9 episodes where they show the older house after one commercial break and then the newer after the next. I'm just sad Season 9 is over. My next goal will be going on the studio tour and seeing if they still have the interior scenes set. I thought I read they did. It's funny that he never moved (or did he?) but he had 3 different house - all with the same interior.

So part of the Matlock and Maximum Overdrive history will be gone. ahight ◊ 2008-03-02 15:22	Ep 7.02 "The Legacy" they show the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater (which is currently getting a facelift) and use other scenes around Greenfield Lake. They also used the gas station across from my neighborhood. Ep 7.05 "The Singer" in the beginning the wagon filmed does the exact same turn as this wagon in Cat's Eye: vehicle_57458-Oldsmobile-Custom-Cruiser-1980.html Ep 7.06 "The Mark" they use the neighborhood of Forest Hills for 2 of the houses seen. The gym is on 2nd St at Dock St. Across the street is a small store used in both "Surface" and "Port City P.D." Ep 7.09 "The Dept" they meet downtown in front of what used to be the best buffet restaurant called "Taste of Country". Matlock ◊ 2008-03-28 21:50	I watched the episode called "The Temptation" today and I had never seen it before. It didn't have many cars, but it did show Leanne's house, a brick duplex and they went to the lake, and some place on the beach that said The Oceanic on blue umbrellas.
