Thanks, It's a pleasure to add some unusual cars. I started doing captures early this morning, but due to the number of cars, I'm going to have to do this programme in stages (..I was only 15 mins into it and had already done over 200 captures, as i'm always trying to get the best pics as possible from these old video tapes.!) Lots more to look forward to.! |

Where do you find these videos, Stronghold? Any chance to borrow some? |

Considering the other Brooklands cars, I am a little surprised that John Cobb's Napier Railton is not in this documentary. |

I don't recall what else is on this video? It's been many years since I last watched it. (as said, I transferred it to DVD but have only re-watched and done captures of about 15 minutes of it) ..more soon -- Last edit: 2007-03-05 09:50:46 |

Adding some pics today from the 1935 Ulster TT (Dixon's car was the #10 Riley) + a couple of pics from Brooklands 1929 -- Last edit: 2007-03-12 19:07:20 |

I doubt that the cars from the australian challenge had make or model names. I would suggest: year = 1987, make = experimental and leave model blank. -- Last edit: 2007-03-15 01:33:37 |

I was waiting to see if anyone knew the race/entrants (we have at least one make 'Ford' who won the race!) |

OK, good idea. I was probably a little quick |

Can we name all the solar cars just 'Custom Made'? |
◊ 2007-03-31 13:11 |
Most of them probably have a related make (or at least company, like Shell, etc.) |
◊ 2007-04-10 14:17 |
Just of note, they're Not Solar powered cars (It was a combustion engine challenge ) |

Isn't there a clip of an orange BMW soaring off the edge of a building and crashing numerous times? |

About these solar-not-solar 3-wheel "cars", what about moving these to movie comments? |
◊ 2009-11-18 17:34 |
I think it is a brilliant idea |

Monte Carlo footage is from 1951 rally, probably filmed at the Glasgow starting point. Some Pathe footage of the final test in Monaco at http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=59720 but unable to find any Glasgow footage. -- Last edit: 2011-03-25 04:55:05 |
