Few duplicate cars to regroup |
◊ 2007-05-03 04:39 |
It seems I keep getting reminded straight away of duplicate cars? but other series by other admins (one immediately comes to mind!) Is left to carry on regardless without any grouping of duplicates.! (One rule for one admin ..but different rules for others.?) |
◊ 2007-05-03 10:18 |
If there are other duplicates to regroup, do not hesitate to mention them (maybe in the forum if you do not want to have that in the comments here, it can be useful to have a list somewhere there so when some admins have time they can do that task). I cannot see all of these, sorry if it "falls" on you more than others, but as you also upload many series compared to others... As other series, the only one with many "duplicates" that comes to my mind is "Peking Express", maybe it was the one to which you thought: I already reminded it to Garco actually -- Last edit: 2007-05-03 10:19:25 |

I was already a reminder to myself. It's on my to-do-list, but first I complete the series (as I emailed antp). And btw, my comments are just tips, maybe you didn't see they are the same, can happen though? Don't take it so hard. But I think there are not some many duplicates as it seems in Peking Express. Many vehicles are 3 stars and they deserve an own entry. -- Last edit: 2007-05-03 10:36:56 |

Okay, I know what you mean (sometimes I forget to group things ...but I had only added these cars yesterday.. and you were reminding me already.!) Most Tv shows I do now, I try my best to group the cars as I'm adding them, but when I'm not sure if the cars are the same I wait for comments first. (most of the cars for this show I didn't know.!) As for other admins grouping vehicles, I don't like to 'Point fingers' at people ..but as already said ..it seems I keep getting picked on.! (I've hated bullying since my school days & it gets my back up if I feel i'm being singled out) I try to get on with everyone on the site & keep a pleasant, happy, friendly atmosphere (..with the exception on one person ..I think you all know who.!) |

I did not say that they were there for long time, I posted the message just in case of For sure it is better to wait at least one or two days, so years can be put on vehicles. It is just that some admins do not check their "old" contributions for that (I didn't say that you were one of these, I do not have precise names to give ) About other admins grouping vehicles, well, I suggested that maybe because you do not have much time to check your previous contributions. Or also because anyone can miss duplicates (sometimes I discover some in series where I add cars myself, and that I did not notice at the time I added the cars). There is also the fact that some duplicates are "created" when identifying/renaming cars. So it is not the fault of anybody, as it is impossible to check other cars of the movie each time that one has to be renamed. -- Last edit: 2007-05-03 12:19:44 |

I have grouped as much as possible now (ford econolines need to be checked for years ..as I guess some of these could be grouped) |
◊ 2007-05-03 12:38 |
There is a 1-star 1997 Buick LeSabre, a 1987 Chevrolet Caprice, a 1995 Ford Explorer that could be regrouped with others. The 2-star 1994 Ford F-Series are nearly identical. I didn't check further -- Last edit: 2007-05-03 12:38:20 |
