It's funny... I live about 20 minutes away from Scranton, PA where this show takes place but have yet to watch a single episode. |

I believe the series is filmed on a set in Hollywood (In some outdoor scenes, the actors appear cold despite the warm Californian weather). The first shots in the opening sequence is the only part filmed in Scranton, PA. -- Last edit: 2008-02-15 18:12:15 (G-MANN) |

I saw a couple of episodes, and I gotta say it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be. |

It's OK, but I think the original version is the best. |

For a show called "The Office" it has a heck of a lot outdoors filming. |

This must be one of the most intelligent and most funny series I've ever seen. There's so much insight in the human psyche you can't stop thinking about the human condition in modern societies and some scenes are so hilarious you can't stop laughing. Hadn't paid much attention to the cars though ;-) |

Ep 5.23 features a different opening with the (temporary) Michael Scott Paper Company: |

This show must have some kind of special deal with Chrysler; Michael has had two Sebrings and a PT Cruiser, and Stanley drives a 300. Also, I think I remember Lee Iacocca being mentioned a few times. |

At first I didn't find the US version very good, I also preferred a lot the UK version. But after a few seasons, when they stopped to copy the original series and made a series on their own, I find it actually very good. It is very different from the original one, so it is hard to compare them now. I recently started to rewatch it from the beginning, the first episodes were not as good as the next seasons. In ep 1.03, Michael is working hard: |

The pilot episode is the only one that is a total retread of an episode from the original series, so it isn't very good, but the series gets better soon after. I've only seen up to series 3. |

I noticed these vehicles between the desks of Andy and Stanley in ep 7.18, but they were maybe there previously: |

Is someone still adding pictures for this series? I added a picture from episode 8.03 since the 8th season already started a while ago, if no-one is planning to complete it I'll be more careful of the cars appearing in the next episodes (I may have missed some from the two first episodes then) |

For sometime I was thinking if I should continue contributing for the Office. But I have not been so enthusiastic ever since Steve Carell (who played Michael Scott) left near the end of Season 7 and I felt that the show has gone downhill since his departure. Also, I used my DVD box sets from my collection, to add pictures for Seasons 4-7. Season 8 on DVD will not be out until September and it currently has a hefty $45 price tag. So I think it's better if you contribute for Season 8 Antoine. |

OK, you'll still be able to replace pictures or add those that I missed when/if you'll get the DVDs Indeed since Steve Carell left, it is not the same The season 7 was already less good than the previous ones, I think. |

I will admit, the first 4 seasons were pretty good but by Season 5 is when I felt the show was beginning to run out of steam, but at least it was still enjoyable with Carell around until he left. IMHO, they should have ended the show after his departure, but they decided to keep this dying show going, and somehow to my surprise, they got renewed for a 9th Season. |

But this 9th season is the last, because they said it will end in 2013! |
◊ 2012-12-17 18:29 |
Even if it is still funny, it is probably good that they end it, as the quality is really lower in the last seasons, as said above. |

Can somebody help me out with this one? Episode 7.08 "The Viewing Party" - Scranton Strangler car chase news footage in cold open - The vehicle being chased is listed on this site as "same or similar" to a Mercury Cougar, but I'm not sure that's correct and it's been bugging me for weeks. For a while I thought it might be a Dodge Stratus, but there are some Dodge, Chevy and Hyundai models that seem close as well... Basically, I'm stumped and could really use some help. Thanks! |

I agree, they really should have ended the show when Steve Carrell left. He did show up in the finale for a cameo as Michael Scott but he was hardly the same guy. I ended up skipping most of the last two seasons and went right to the finale. -- Last edit: 2019-05-17 15:02:48 |
