@m.pfaffeneder: please reduce the size of your picture (max 720 pixels wide), it's too big. Also, some information would be welcome as this show doesn't have an IMDb title. |
◊ 2011-02-03 19:01 |
Information about this TV series: There are people who would like to have a new car. They call the Checker (Alex Wesselsky), who searches for the car (several options), drives the car and buys one of the cars. Then it´s time for Lina van de Mars. She pimps the car. |
◊ 2011-02-03 19:03 |
BTW: I will put new cars little by little. |
◊ 2011-02-03 20:59 |
Title is just Der Checker http://akas.imdb.com/title/tt1328943/ . And, by the way, it's a reality-show |
◊ 2011-02-03 21:03 |
@vilero: In Germany it´s Der Checker - Viel Auto, Wenig Geld. And yes it´s a kind of reality-show, sorry for that mistake. |
◊ 2011-02-03 21:15 |
Seeing the quality of the pictures, 640px would already be quite enough |
◊ 2011-02-03 21:24 |
Sorry for the quality of the pictures. These are my first experiences with pictures on imcdb. I´m grateful for every support. |
◊ 2011-02-04 18:54 |
It´ll be great, if somebody validates the cars. Thank you!!!!! |
◊ 2011-02-17 11:55 |
@m.pfaffeneder: I hope you will can understand the reason about the vehicles that have been deleted. This is a Reality/TV Show not a documentary about a brand, a model, about the history of vehicles or about the car history in a country. Lately, when you click 'Add a movie', you have seen new 'guidelines' because 'the site will be become more strict due to a large amount of additions recently'. Well, the cars used in this Reality are, most of them, very commons and usuals in normal traffic and they don't say nothing new. Due that, most of them have been deleted. 1st. those that were uncropped pictures and, the rest, these what are very commons in the site and have two or more pages of the same vehicles in the site. You could think that in movies and TV Series also are listed very commons vehicles, but a movie or TV Series is worth due the vehicles that are showed on it. The script of these doesn't say 'I show you this car, later this another one...'. This kind of shows are (and I don't know if the comparison is right) like all these as Top Gear, 5th Gear, Vrum, Vroom, ....we have in the site. Like car brochures, in my opinion. To avoid waste of time in future, maybe it will be useful comment in the forum what kind of show/documentary an user wants to upload, and submit in the forum some of the pictures the user wants to upload to the site. This doesn't apply to movies and TV Series with, usually, IMDB reference. But also, in these last, not all the vehicles that an user upload, later are validated. A 1* Volkswagen [Typ1] or a 1* Crown Vic, also don't say nothing new if in the same movie or TV Serie we have others same of that kind. Thank you for your understanding. |

Aired by the same TV-station as /movie.php?id=1056152 and (German dubbed) Top Gear, Fifth Gear, etc. A poor station, which only shows such types of "shows", cheaply made or imported. |
◊ 2011-05-11 16:35 |
should I add some cars from the newest season |
◊ 2011-05-11 17:17 |
@S 415 GT: Well, that would be great, because unfortunately I haven´t got so much time at the moment. |
◊ 2011-06-06 20:23 |

Today was an episode, where he is looking for a 1970ies German made car (as written in the TV-magazine). As usual, I forgot to watch TV and stayed here @S 415 GT, @m.pfaffeneder: some interesting cars to see, which could justify to watch one of the many following re-runs? |
◊ 2011-06-08 17:55 |
@ingo: It´s really worth to see. From 2006 to 2010, the presenter was Alex Wesselsky. He did a very good job, since he made the show funny and interesting, but when they agreed on the price he was very serious. Interesting for you is, there were often some people who wanted an old- or youngtimer. So I really recommend this tv programme. -- Last edit: 2011-06-09 13:56:39 |
◊ 2011-07-05 21:35 |
I added some new cars. |
◊ 2011-07-06 14:32 |
But they are a bit too big and the black borders must be removed |
◊ 2011-07-06 17:06 |
@walter: Well, it´s no problem to remove the black borders, but is it so bad that the pictures are a bit too big. |
◊ 2011-07-06 17:27 |
Resize them to 640 pixels wide at the same time you remove the borders then |
◊ 2011-07-07 21:17 |
@admins: I removed the black border of the Lancia Fulvia Zagato. Could you explain me what to type into the boxes, that the size is correct. Thank you! |
◊ 2011-07-07 21:22 |
Enter 640 in the width box. It keeps the ratio so you don't need to add anything in the other fields. If you wish to add more photos in future it might be worth downloading XNView which allows you to batch resize before upload with much less effort and saves you having to go through the trouble of resizing each individual picture. |
◊ 2011-07-07 21:41 |
I´ve done what you´ve said, but it isn´t smaller, is it? How hard can it be ? I hope I´m not a pain in the neck. |
◊ 2011-07-07 21:43 |
Try pressing F5. The pictures should change then. |
◊ 2011-07-07 21:49 |
IT WORKS!!!!! THANK YOU!! You learn more basics on IMCDB than in school |
◊ 2011-07-08 12:15 |
More pictures will follow the next days. Maybe someone could validate the pics I´ve added so far. |
◊ 2011-07-13 20:49 |
@ingo: You´ve mentioned that there was an episode with 1970ies cars. Maybe I´ve added them already. Furthermore there are other old cars. |
◊ 2011-07-13 20:49 |
This would be nice. Modern cars sucks. |
◊ 2012-02-20 13:00 |
I´ve added some cars. |
◊ 2012-03-06 17:42 |
I´ll add the cars from the new season, soon. |
◊ 2012-03-10 16:52 |
are the new episodes shown the same time than the old ones? I havent watched this cannel for a long time |
◊ 2012-03-11 12:48 |

Some interesting background cars in episode 10.05: -- Last edit: 2012-04-22 16:50:14 |
◊ 2012-04-22 16:40 |
IMHO indeed worth to list, as some really rarities among them. Like the BMW 600 on the first and the Glas Isar on the third, for example. The white VW is a 1968+ basic 1200 (behind it an early R4, the white cabriolet is a Renault Floride, the two cars in the background I cannot clearly identify. What's the orange Offroader on pic 2, a Landcruiser? |
◊ 2012-04-22 16:42 |
No it´s not a LandCruiser, but I know that I´ve already seen something like that. |
◊ 2012-04-22 16:43 |
On the last thumb is a 2010+ VW Sharan, which would be the first one on the site... |
◊ 2012-04-22 16:46 |
Jeep in thumb 2 is a Santana Anibal/PS10. I'd say the BMW, Glas and Beetle are definitely worth listing though maybe another Admin will have another view. |

?? I got sick of South Georgia, Gritviken's horrible this time of year. Dad was from Kincardine and Mom was half Tyneside Irish, so now I'm UK. |

Unfortunately, youtube does not have "Mummy Was An Asteroid, Daddy Was A Small Non-Stick Kitchen Utensil" by Quiet Sun - a Roxy Music spin-off. |

Do we accept new entries for this kind of shows? I think not? |
◊ 2013-01-02 23:05 |
Why aren´t they acceptable? I know it´s not such an ideal show for this site, but I would like to complete it and quite a lot of the cars are really interesting. |
◊ 2013-01-02 23:07 |
The pictures are acceptable (good quality), but I thought we do not accept any new entries anymore for this kind of shows... |
◊ 2013-01-02 23:11 |
Alright, I know that there is an argument about these shows, but I think it would be a bit silly if we cancel it now, although the show isn´t complete. |
◊ 2013-01-02 23:14 |
Yes, but these shows will keep on going forever |
◊ 2013-01-02 23:16 |
I don´t think so, since Season 9 it has only very few viwers -- Last edit: 2013-01-02 23:16:13 |

I wish this show was aired in Sweden. At least the episodes with Alex Wesselsky because I like the episodes I have seen with him. (I am also a fan of his band "Eisbrecher") I can understand why this type of show is not really made for this site. |
◊ 2013-02-04 09:16 |
@Bobjork: isn't it possible to get it via satellite? But I think, there's a different satellite for Northern Europe. Here, via ASTRA, we have a plenty of Mediterranean and Arabian stations, but nearly nothing from Scandinavia. |
