This has to do with the series, if not with cars, but it's definitely worth it: http://www.shorpy.com/leave-it-to-beaver |

I wonder if this show was sponsored by Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler? |

Chrysler did a lot of product placement in the early 60's. I remember the Beverly Hillbillies, My Favorite Martian, and a number of feature films (all Dorris Day movies) had Chrysler products featured. |

Not to mention Lassie from 1957 on thru 1973. I want to be the first one to get that show up here, since I have so many episodes on various media types. For whatever reason the show's copyright holders refuse to release the entire series! Look at how much the Twilight Zone costs on DVD, imagine 20 years of Lassie! You can find them in German and Japanese dubbed versions on those regional DVD formats in the first several seasons. |

I remember one year their sponsor was Remington Rand Typewriters. A good episode for this site would be the one where Wally and Eddie get jobs as valet parkers at a wedding. Lots of Mopars but even a few Fords. Hey theuy found the valet episode. Now, find the one when Ward and Wally go shopping for Wally's first car. -- Last edit: 2008-04-04 04:39:21 |

How about the one where Wally and Eddie get jobs at the Mayfield Dairy. Good truck shots. Should be from the final year as well. -- Last edit: 2008-05-20 15:28:11 |

No, Chrysler didn't sponsor the show, they just had a really aggressive product placement campaign in the 1960s. The show's advertisers included Remington Rand, Ralston Purina/Chex, Alka-Seltzer/One A Day vitamins, and GE. |
