I make this to be a circa 1959 Chevy Apache stepside with aftermaket Ice Cream box. |

Close. With that cowl insignia, I'd say it's a 1958. Plus, this Apache is a 3100, since ice cream trucks tended to be light-duty cowl & chassis trucks. |

Task-Force "light-duty" trucks were 3100/31 to 3800/38 models (½- to 1-ton) so it's not accurate to say "light-duty = 3100". And with what is visible, it's hard to say if it is a 114"/2.90 m wheelbase 31 truck or a 123.25"/3.13 m wb 32 or 36 one.
