Can anyone confirm this (not that it's "one of the ebst car chases ever filmed", but that it's worth sitting through everything else just to see it?)?

If you have the DVD, then I suggest you to fast-forward the Parade scene in the car chase - it totally ruins what had potential to be truly one of the best car chases ever filmed.

Yes, i agree on that though, the parade ruined the speed of it.

 The parade scene completely hindered the pace of the chase and seemed to be never ending, I cringe every time I have to see it.

No, the scene is David Caruso looking out the window at the men at the Seville, back to David, then the closeup, which is the pic of the Caprice police car.
