 A lots of VAZ 2102 Zhigulis posing as Serbian Police cars (completely wrong, because our police never used Zhigulis).

 @Ingo: :hello: I apologise for not having seen the message and answered it on time :(. I know that higher rank officers both from the police and State Security (UDBA, now BIA) drove Mercedes-Benz W115, but those were rare (a couple of dozens, I think). This is the first time I hear about VW K70, but I know some people who were in the force at the time and I'll ask them.

 No problem. ;)

I know the owner of the last K 70 in Macedonia (a yellow 1974 standard version), and he told me, that his father was a high officer in the Yugoslavian police and had it as an official car. When he retired, he could take the car home for private use.

 It's possible. Officers from different police branches often had different official cars.
