Daewoo

Daewoo KRWikipedia page

Following vehicles from GM Korea and Saehan, it was originally selling a rebadged Opel Rekord, and also produced models based on the Opel Kadett.

In 1982 the company became "Daewoo Motors" following its acquisition by the Daewoo Group. After running into financial difficulties, it sold most of its assets in 2002 to General Motors.

In 2011, General Motors announced that GM Daewoo would be renamed GM Korea. Most of the remaining Daewoo vehicles were rebadged as Chevrolet although the Damas/Labo microtrucks were sold without a brand name since 2011.
