Very watchable - lots of interesting NZ scenery used very effectively, some interesting characters - but a plot which after a good start became fairly wobbly and confusing, with logic goofs, impossible time lines for events to happen, and too many casually abandoned loose ends. And the last ep decided not to tie things up sensibly, but spring open lots of new hooks to launch a sequel series. A couple of odd quirks - dialogue mentions a Ford Zephyr Mk3 at least twice, but it's never seen. And this song is clearly one of the director's faves as it's inserted into the plot at least twice. Which is fine by me .....

Carries straight on from S1, and much the same experience - great scenery and cinematography, intriguing characters, but plot becomes increasingly incoherent - too many unresolved dead ends left hanging, soap opera melodramas get crow-barred in, more logic goofs etc - so I couldn't keep up and have no real idea by the end who did what and why. But it was an enjoyable ride. Everything again left hanging for a third series .... Rejects: - ep 2.02 a white police thing which I can't match - ep 2.03 "Irish" flashback - probably 2 moment - BMW??? - ep 2.05 white van - Merc?? One other bonus of doing NZ film is using carjam - the best and most detailed plate database I've ever come across.
