 I replaced all small pictures and the pictures with a black frame. Added two new * cars: the Jaguar and the Citroën. Soon I will upload the rest of the missing racecars.

 2 ironic facts around this movie

1) Paul Newman , Steve's rival, acheived the same result for REAL at Le Mans 1979 finishing 2nd overall!!
2) John Frankenheimer (Grand Prix director) intended to do asimilar movie based on the 1983 Le Mans , supposedly it gone as far as ordering a 956 chassie 112 from Porsche to be entered as camera car but it never materialized

perhaps a problem is in this movie it played heavely on the Porsche/ Ferrari rivalry but in 1983 no such thing, it was mostly a Porsche 956 affair...

No, no one actually died, but David Piper lost a leg in a crash while driving one of the 917, and Derek Bell narrowly escaped when the Ferrari 512 he was driving caught on fire.
