The car's design is a combination of elements from several real-world vehicles: The primary influence for the animated design was the Ford Aspire, which was chosen by the art director for its "underwhelming" appearance, fitting the story point that Wolf has fallen on hard times since the first movie. It also incorporates some design elements from the Geo Metro. Early sketches also included influences from European cars like the Simca Rancho and the Citroen Xsara Picasso. The previous car Mr. Wolf drove in the first The Bad Guys film was a sleek black sports car that was a custom design based on a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro and other muscle cars.
