I've just added some classic McLaren cars from their HQ (which is now on sale BTW). I've listed them as replicas (some of them are lacking the 'illegal' sponsors), but I'm not sure about it, so if you have any info, tell it, please.

I wouldn't call them replicas. I think they are still the genuine F1 car. In any case, they would be a Show Car, not a replica.

@ michail2003: as this is a non-fiction series please avoid adding unrelated background vehicles.

@Lharles Ceclerc, on the new pictures there is a watermark in the corner of the picture, please blur or hide that, otherwise they cannot be accepted.

Depends what watermark it is. If it is the name of some illegal source it is not the same as the logo of a TV channel

I was thinking about finishing the page, can someone please edit the cars that I've left the comments on previously and delete the duplicates?

I wonder which F1 cars should have an engine manufacturer in their name and which shouldn't, it's kinda messy judging from the existing IMCDB entries. Also, the cars with 'Replica' in their names should have it removed.

I don't know what is the most common solution used. I suppose it is fine to have it in extra info, but maybe not in the model name itself.

They are the real ones?

From what I've seen at this site, the engines begin to be used in model name somewhere in mid-1990's, though there are exceptions

Yes, you can look at our discussion of this topic in comments above

Some questions on future car listing:

Should Red Bull powertrains be listed as 'Red Bull' or 'RBPT'?

Should VCARB cars be listed as 'Racing Bulls' or 'RB'?

Should Stake F1 cars be listed as 'Sauber' or 'Kick Sauber'?

@michail2003 - Please do not crop the pictures. Ratios are all over the place, so it looks obvious that some pics are cropped just to show the car, please submit full frame pictures.
Also, please no normal background cars, like the Ford Escape, and Mercedes Sprinter vans or the Nissan Navara, etc. The only ones that were worth keeping from this batch was the Aston Martin pace car and the LaFerrari, since it is special. We only accept golf carts if they have a role in any title.

Season 5 completed

Please replace the rest of the pictures and let's decide on what to call newer F1 cars from future seasons

@michail2003: again, I had to delete half of the new pictures as they were unrelated backgrounds (some of them were not acceptable even for a normal tv series!). Please take note of that.

Jaja, yes, this was one of my plans, but I decided to take a break from adding cars in this page because of some personal projects and problems with my pc. Also,I want to add some more obscure F1 Content, I have Netflix but not on my pc and I alredy have some pages to complete before having to start with a new one.

Outside of that, thank you for recognizing me as the "F1 Guy" on the page jaja.Really proud of that.

Hello, here is why recommend you as an f1 nerd.
What cars have the engine supplier in their name?
All the cars that the Engine supplier isn't the constructor (For example, cars like the Ferraris or Mercedes should not have it)

The power units name for Red Bull were "Honda"until 2021,changed to "RBPT in 2022 because of Honda going out of F1,and changed to "Honda RBPT" from 2023 because of the return of Honda.so the 2022 cars should be "RBPT",previous cars should be "Honda" and next cars should be "Honda RBPT"

The VCARB case is simple, the Team itself announce a name change in 2025 from RB to Racing Bulls,so the 2024 VCARB01 should be "RB" and furure models should be "Racing Bulls"

Same with Sauber, the Official chassis name for the 2024 and 2025 cars should be "Kick Sauber".

Therefore I can add the next seasons' cars?

TomiF1 wrote Also,I want to add some more obscure F1 Content, I have Netflix but not on my pc and I alredy have some pages to complete before having to start with a new one..

BTW I planned to list cars from BrawnGP documentary since we have no Brawn on the site.

TBH I feel like the engine can be an extra info.

I followed the way it was done at IGCD and added Red Bull with no supplier and AlphaTauri with Red Bull as a supplier, I guess it has to be edited now.

Obviously, you dont need autorisation,do whatever you want lol

Good idea,I dont have Disney+ and I didn't even watched it,so I would have to fall in piracy if I wanted to add that.
(also,I didnt notice that there isnt BrawnGP here,a crime against motorsport!)

michail2003 wrote TBH I feel like the engine can be an extra info.

I think the same, but I dont recommend you to do that. Making thigs different makes confusing situations and makes things more difficult to search for the people. Imagine trying to search for a car that id listed in different ways. So I recommend you to copy previous "IMCDBers" to make things easier for everyone.

I and others users dont recommend to use IGCD as a base because that page is basically broken. As I said,I recommend to copy the others IMCDBers and use the constructor/chassis name/engine system. And if you are listing a new car and you are confused of how shoukd be added,I personally recommen the website STATSF1, that has every car named by its official chassis name and every engine supplier with its official name.
Also the 2023 and some 2024 F1 cars are already listed in the F1 Movie.

confusing situations are common for example the 2015 williams FW38 thats is listed in 2 different ways [https://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-Williams_model-FW38.html]
or the Honda/Honda RBPT situation in the F1 movie.I added the 2023 red bull and alphatauri as "Honda RBPT" but the person that accept the Red Bull changed it to "Honda" with "RBPT" as extra info while the person who accept the Alphatauri keep it as "Honda RBPT"

AlphaTauri= /vehicle_1966325-AlphaTauri-AT04-Honda-RBPT-2023.html
Red Bull= /vehicle_1957952-Red-Bull-RB19-Honda-2023.html

Didn't want to disrupt anyone's plans.

I wanted to check how should we list it and found matching make in the list, that's how I found out.

That's why I discuss it here. Plus F1 cars listing was already a mess before me (not e rude, just pointing out).
