jpts ◊ 2015-10-26 07:26	I saw this film and a snippet of this film on a episode of "Forensic Investigators". That episode was about Lindsay Rose who was convicted in 1998 for 5 murders that he committed in Sydney from the 20th January 1984 to the 14th February 1994. Rose was a former ambulance officer who had been one of the first responders to the 1977 Granville Rail Disaster and was seen in the newspaper photos as one those who were pulling out the survivors out of the wreck carriages. After leaving the ambulance service, Rose later became private detective and a standover man and later a contract killer. The murders that he committed over the 10-year period were: Edward "Bill" Cavanagh and Carmelita Lee - De facto couple, shot in the bedroom of their home at Hoxton Park in Western Sydney on the night of the 20th January 1984. Bill Cavanagh ran a trucking business and was suspected of having ties to several members of the Calabrian 'Ndrangheta (Known as the Honoured Society) including Griffith based 'Ndrangheta member, Robert Trimbole. Rose said that Cavanagh's murder was a result of a beating that Cavanagh gave to an associate that was known to Rose and Cavanagh a few years earlier, while Lee's murder was a result of her being there. Reynette Holford - Wealthy socialite, bashed and stabbed in the bedroom of her home in West Ryde on the night of the 19th January 1987. Rose said the murder was a result of a botched burglary that he was committing at her home. Kerrie Pang and Fatma "Nicki" Ozonal - Owner and an employee of a local message parlour, bashed, stabbed and then shot at their message parlour, Kerrie's Oasis in Gladesville on the night of the 14th February 1994. Rose said that Pang's murder was a result of a hit that he was hired by Pang's de facto and Rose's associate, Mark Lewis while Ozonal's murder was a result of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Mark Lewis was also the same associate who was bashed by Cavanagh years prior to Cavanagh and Lee's murder. When Rose did the last two killings, he referred himself as the "Mechanic" after the main character and his accomplice in the Pang and Ozonal murders, Ronald Waters as his "Apprentice" after the secondary character. -- Last edit: 2024-06-15 09:24:32
