Commander 57 ◊ 2014-08-06 14:41	But the VIN is what determines the model year. The "1964 1/2" tag was added years later by the motoring press to differentiate the early 1965's from the later ones. This designation never came from Ford Motor Company nor any of the guide book listings. Find an older NADA guide book. You will see no "1964" or "1964 1/2" Mustang listed.
