I don't think the film makers used real Humvees, they're obviously H1s, most likely modified Alphas. Comments? |

Why not real ones? I guess that real ones can be bought secondhand after some time... And we have so many used in movies. -- Last edit: 2013-09-03 18:23:10 |

Both have HMMWV mirrors. |

Sorry. but with all these cars in anachorismic places, I thought may have used H1s. |

The bus in the thumbnail is a Neoplan N 4016 (?). Link to "www.flickr.com" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoplan_N4016 |

So you believe that film makers would spend a lot of money on buying the best version of the H1 (the Alpha) and dress it like a Humvee when there are plenty of affordable (real) secondhand Humvees out there? |

It's a military model, no doubt about it. Mostly likely from surplus US European Command stocks. |

I think the most likely dealer would be Morlock Motors. ![]() |

Morlock Motors must be well known. I thought it was one of those little known things. |

Main is probably Glasgow, but that bridge wasn't there last time I looked. |

Bridge is CGI - this is George Street in Glasgow. If you check the scenes on IMCDB for Cloud Atlas, some of the scenes were shot in the same street here, just beyond where the motorhome is in this shot (largely the campus of Strathclyde University) |
