Last Alfas with boxer engines. Rare even in the late 2000s/early teens when they were cheap as jack. -- Last edit: 2023-06-20 19:23:51 |

A good collection item for the future, moreover a rare case of car mounting both longitudinal and transverse engines. Anyway, L trim as written on the build sheet -- Last edit: 2023-06-20 20:04:04 |

Indeed, nice remark Alex ![]() I still see some of them, but many 145/146 disappeared in that very period cited by Gamer (late 00s/early 10s). In 2011, a few months before I got my driving license, there was a 145 very similar to this one (1.6 boxer, dark blue, plate starting with AD) sitting for some months in a repair shop. I really wanted it, and even talked to the mechanic, as the car belonged to an old man who had deceased, and he said to me that it could be mine with a few hundred euros. The car was mechanically in good shape, had a little more than 120.000 kms, but it was a bit tired externally due to the fact that it was sitting outdoors, and it had some scratches. Sadly I had yet to have my license, and and in a few months I would have had my high school exams, not to mention that I had no place to store it, management costs weren't too low and my parents weren't happy with the fact that it was 1.6, so I had to give up. Anyway I tipped the car to a friend I knew through a car forum, but he didn't have the time because the heirs scrapped the car ![]() |

just curious, why your parents were not happy with the 1.6 ? does it have reliability issues ? |

No, nothing like that, just higher insurance/taxes costs, and (alleged by them ![]() ![]() *worth to mention such limitations (70kw or 55kw/t) would have ruled out not only the 145 1.6 but every 145/146 just to remain in the case in question -- Last edit: 2023-06-20 23:32:20 |

given how some drive like they had infinite lives here, that wouldn't be a bad idea.. someone who starts here to drive ( i'm not considering the " apprenti " one as you have to be in company of someone who has his regular driving licence to drive with that one ) have the " Permis Probatoire " which is limited to 4 points ( 15 on regular one ) , zero alcohol , limited number of passengers but you can sit them straight away in a Lamborghini.. ( ok, pretty much every Lamborghini excepts the Urus limits the number of passengers anyway.. ![]() -- Last edit: 2023-06-20 23:45:51 |

Well, you named the Urus, and here these days there is much talk of this topic because a group of young youtubers rented an Urus to make an internet challenge and killed a 5-years old kid in an accident ![]() Anyway I feel too that some restrictions are right, maybe also a different kind of license for powerful cars (for example with mandatory safe driving courses) and of course zero alcol, but the limit about power output we have in force is too much, I remember a friend of mine who took his license a few months after me couldn't drive his mother's Fiat Bravo 80 16V (1.2cc, 80cv).. Sorry for the OT anyway. |

I had the same 'issue': my grandpa quit driving one year before I got my license, and I wanted to keep his old Audi 80 B4 for me, but my parents didn't agree for the same exact reason (and for the fact that it was a very old car, although in good shape, moreover it was a standard 1.6 with only 71 PS...). I started driving in my mom's Renault Clio 1.2 16V, which was smaller but definitely safer, and it was good so. Unfortunately the Audi was sold , but I'm keeping an eye on every B4 for sale here around with the hope to have it back as a youngtimer ![]() -- Last edit: 2023-06-21 00:55:29 |

Any possibility that it has been shipped through the Alps? ![]() ![]() |

Well, I really don't think so, since more than a decade has passed ![]() |

Yes I know, it's a joke indeed... unless we have the opportunity to eventually check the VINs ![]() |

that would be so funny if it was... maybe someday it will get imported here too... ![]() -- Last edit: 2023-06-21 14:30:05 |

It happened something like this to me years ago: a colleague of my dad's had just bought an Audi A4 Avant B6, which for some interior particulars reminded me to the one tested by a car magazine... we did a quick check of the VINs and indeed it was the same ![]() |
