This looks like some sort of replica car. Maybe a very early Excalibur?? http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1965-1969-excalibur-series-I.htm

That's your evidence? I can tell you immediately that certain details do not match the one you've shown. Okay, it may not be a Gazelle either...

Despite the fact, that he very often (mostly) writes bullshit, here I must admit, that he seems to be probably correct. Both cars are looking indeed quite similar.

The Excalibur looks like a basic match except a few minor details /vehicle_224025-Excalibur-Series-I-1965.html while it really doesn't look that much like a CMC Gazelle Link to "cache.jalopnik.com" Excalibur it is!

I think it sits a bit too high for a Gazelle.

This replica by Torrelaro looks more like it, but still not quite right: http://www.nast-sonderfahrzeuge.de/MB-Exotenforum/img/uploaded/image85760.jpg

Agreed not a Gazelle. Excalibur is closer but the proportions are off for that (also struggling to match the arches). Anyone know anything about local German repicas?

I have a car catalogue from 1983 that lists a lot of replicas/kit cars as well, but I don't know where it is.
EDIT: Half a minute later I find it. Now let's see...

Legate, Saier and Susan Classic Cars. None of these match.

Not really, but there was Tomaszo PS Fiberglasprodukte of Achau, Austria, who offered a lot of different kit cars between 1977 and 1993. Their mid-1980s catalogue says "no" (I only have a copy because they also built W126 funeral coaches), but maybe someone else has more info about their questionable creations.
