Then with "tuned" bumper or it is the older car customized to look like a later one. Since 1985 they had a bumper with two separate rubber moldings and space for the plate between them. -- Last edit: 2013-05-15 16:39:50 |

I think I may have found the movie car - it's a 2.3 16V registered January 1997: Link to "www.auto24.ee" Of the few 3102 I found for sale online, only this had yellow fog lamps and these Volvo-esque alloys - could it be? Plate 162 AAK confirms 1997, registered in Estonia since November 22, 2006. |

The owner has included a link with the history of the car, and there is a photo of it with its fake Estonian SSR plate: http://www.volga.ee/albumphoto_dl/Gaz3102_004.jpg The plate is barely visible in the first picture of it, but if 898-AAY: 1984. -- Last edit: 2017-08-03 21:26:02 |

No wait, we gotta do some math here ![]() This guy owned several Volgas, and had a fake Estonian SSR plate made. In the photo is a different Volga as that one has dog dishes and no alloys. The one shown in the main picture is the 1997 with these alloys, and had the SSR plate from the other one attached for likely historical reasons. So 1997 GAZ 3102 Volga, origin Russia. -- Last edit: 2017-08-04 11:41:03 |

Thanks! I like checking (used) car bases from the respective countries when I can't get plate info, but I almost never find the exact car. Origin Russia. ![]() |

Imported from Latvia (which is odd, as new old Russian cars aren't sold in the Baltics) 2300cm3 engine - which engine code would that be? |
