It's a MKIII '79+, but Daimler is certain or we have a simple Jaguar? |

I think it's a V12 Jaguar, not a Daimler. It has vertical grille slats but no wavy top to the grille. |

Yes it is not a Daimler - definitely a series 3 Jag. Is that an Irish plate?? |

No its a UK registration transferred to remove the original plate year identifier, PK - Guildford (Surrey up to 1974). In the late 1950's and early 1960's as a temporary measure, four number plus one or two letter area code registrations were used. -- Last edit: 2010-04-09 10:46:21 |

How do we know it's not an XJ6? |

Well, it's not unheard of for the grille to be changed, but as the DVLA don't have a record I guess we'll have to assume it's an XJ12 |

I thought the Series III XJ6 and XJ12 had the same grille. -- Last edit: 2010-04-17 00:13:38 |
