dsl ◊ 2011-03-01 00:51	Axxx JLB was a genuinely issued series, NW London, Dec 83-July 84 so probably a DVLA gap rather than fake. But looking at the car, why is this a 500SL? Has no front spoiler so predates Oct 80 UK introduction of 500SL (when all UK R107s got the spoiler). Before then UK was 350SL and 450SL only. But it has - I think - tinted screen so is Jan 78 onwards. Also means that the plate definitely does not belong to the car, and that someone's been very naughty by switching it.
