Why? It's a Harley through and through. A "Spaghetti Harley" by Aermacchi but nevertheless.

Harley owned Aermacchi in the 70's, this is a 1975 SX 175.

And Harley did actually make a genuine dirtbike on their own accord way before the Panamericana, though the MT was for the military only.

Sort of, the MT 350 was a CCM-Armstrong 500 built under licence with a smaller Rotax lump stuffed in.
