Rare 86" Station Wagon, about 1000 made from April 54 to summer 56. Same body carried forward to S1 88" (again about 1000 made until S2 arrived in 58) but excluded by film date. |

Looks like a factory hard top on standard Land Rover. Not a SW. Drop tailboard so no rear door and lack of rear windows and tropical roof.. They did 'export side windows' on S11 hard tops and maybe S1 and maybe this is an example or they could be locally fitted. -- Last edit: 2022-11-19 06:35:10 |

Good call. EHT was available from 1950 and had windowed option pretty quickly. |

^ Mainly a book - The Complete Catalogue of the Land Rover (James Taylor 2019)![]() It's superb 98% of the time but slightly woolly/vague for the final 2%, but I don't think there is a single better source for our purposes. Glass's occasionally has more precise detail, but over the years are inconsistent with their coverage as if they're not sure if the LR is a car or a commercial thing, and their scope is UK market only while Taylor attempts the whole wired world. |
