Alexander ◊ 2008-04-05 19:15	This design started as the BJ212 in 1965 produced by the Beijing Automobile Works (BAW). In 1983 the Beijing Jeep Corporation (BJC) was started through a cooperation with AMC and resulted not only in the Chinese made Jeep Cherokee but also the BJ212 received a new engine and new dashboard and was since known as the BJ2020 made by BJC. The outer shape stayed identical over the years and only recently received a facelift. Here we can actually see the new style dashboard which makes it a 1983 or younger Beijing-Jeep BJ2020. Interesting to note is the rarer non-foldable windscreen.
