This movie is dated 1935 and the Phantom 3 was only introduced during that year so I feel it is unlikely to be one of these - more likely a Phantom 2 - probably from 1933-4. I agree the body looks American but don't know by whom. |

Rolls Royce New Phantom Springfield LHD Dual Cowl Phaeton by Hibbard & Darrin. Body circa 1931, possibly second body, chassis may be earlier but was supplied by Rolls royce as leftover (NOS) unbtil well into the thirties. Mudguard lines may have been altered to modernise car at time of body change, or separely, later. Few Phantom II's were built with left hand drive (compartively), none with this body. |
