In Mexico, it would be a Dart K, which used the 1986 US LeBaron grill. From Allpar, "In 1986 we also saw the K-bodied Dart disappear and the new E-Body Dodge 600 appear as a Dart. The car was successful and this time it got the 2.5-liter engine. It was carried over until 1989, and the only change in the meantime was the grille, which Chrysler execs here decided was to be the one of the 1986 LeBaron, which was gone with the 1986 model year." When I looked up some of these on Mexican sales sites, they were all under the "Chrysler" brand, and several of them had Chrysler badges. Pre-1986 had Dodge badges. This front end came in 1987. From 1986 they were sold as Chrysler Dart, while the previous Dart-badged Aries was sold as the Chrysler Volare. I don't think the K is part of the name, it's colloquial. -- Last edit: 2021-02-19 16:05:37 |
