Just like I hate how Pontiac did that to the Tempest (rebadged 1988-1991 Corsica) and LeMans (rebadged 1988-1993 Opel Kadett). But at the same time I guess you could make that argument with the current Malibu and Charger.

Life on Chevrolet Nova started with 4 and 6-cylinder. Eventually, it introduced the V-8 engine until end of the RWD production. The 4-cylinder was dropped in the late 1960's.
