8253 PU is now on a red 2010 Mercedes AMG C63 4dr Auto, but was originally issued in January 1961. VXL 794 has not been licensed since 1998 from the DVLA data; would be interesting to know when it last appeared on-screen. I assume the car still exists - is it in a museum? Other possibilities are re-registered with a new number for some reason or stored somewhere.

Pushed off a hill into a tree branch in one episode.

Not the heaviest accident but that seems to be its last appearance.

I thought that, but watching the episode, Substitute (S7E14), I noticed that VXL 794 wasn't the car pushed. VXL 794 was a Ford Anglia 100E, with Clustered rear lights. The car pushed down the hill was in fact a Ford Popular, with a very badly painted on numberplate of VXL 794. You can tell this because the rear were singles (e.g. one indicator, brake light) nstead of being clustered. Very clever on ITV's part, but not hard to miss if you are knowledgeable about classic cars!
