The two tone paint job suggests to me that it is one of the more upmarket versions - maybe a Riley 4/72??

Judging by the paint scheme that is, most likely, defined by the chrome trim - including the one of the rear end - I agree it seems to be a 1959+ Austin A55 Cambridge MkII.

This is location in London was used to double for New York City, and the Cadillac 62 in the photo is Simon Templar's car that he is parallel parking behind the (concealed in photo) Imperial Southampton Coupe to its right. Its a quick scene. I was curious as to how common an Austin A55 Camrbidge was in the US at the time, if it was indeed sold here. Turns out that it was sold in the USA from 1957 through 1961 as the "Austin Cambrian" with the name change due to Chrysler owning the trademark to the name "Cambridge" for its Plymouth division. The Austin sort of gives away the actual location, though in 1961 it would not be uncommon to see all sorts of "foreign" cars on a street in Manhattan. The production company did a pretty good job considering the budget they would be working with. The then late-model Cadillac, Imperial, and a 1968 Thunderbird that passes do an adequate job of setting the scene as NY. And yes, the identification of the vehicle remains correctly listed an Austin A55 Cambridge due to the filming location.
