I've never seen those headlight washers... And somehow I've the impression it's a hatchback, not a coupé. ??

You can still see the boot, therefore not the CC (Combi-Coupé) but the two-door version.

Vauxhall Cavalier had a closed facia and, of course, a Vauxhall badge instead of the Opel lightning.

A Manta on a ferry-ramp? Sorry folks, but this provokes me to annother \"ingo-anecdote\" :p

In 2003 I was waiting to entering the ferryboat from Rostock to Tallinn (with my K 70, sure :sun: ). Before the passengers for Estonia could enter with their cars, the cars with destination Finland drove into the ship. Some of them belonged to the \"Opel Club Helsinki\" - all we passengers, waiting on the quay were grinning and smirking of the \"crotch\" and \"scratch\"-sounds fo the very much lowered Manta\'s and Calibra\'s, which were a bit too low for the ramp. :D
You must know, that in Germany Manta-drivers had a very typical image in the 80ies and 90ies... :)

Before that we had made big eyes, when the in coming cars were driving off the boat: 6 or 7 big SUV\'s with Russian (St.Petersburg) plates, Mercedes M-Klasse, BMW X5 and so on, all tuned up, black colour, driven by muscoulous guys (every one more than 120 kg, bodybuilder-style, fat Rolex-watches), on the passengers seats girls in fur-coats, everyone looked like a top model. :wow:
In a few seconds minimum 500 000 Euro value, rather more, has passed us...

And on the way back the tallymen had problems with an abandoned Volga M 21. Someone drove it in Tallinn on the ferry, but in Rostock noone picked it up. And its plates were getting lost during the trip.
With baffled faces they've shoved on the quay. :D

It was served right to the Silja-Line-guys. I was very pissed about the bit.. *ahem*, the lady at the restaurant-entrance on the way back. Never again Silja Lines!

I saw a BMW 3-series with Russian plates in Prague in 1996. For obvious reasons I didn't examine it very closely. :)
