By the rear lights and this type of bumpers ( with black corners ) it's a 1974 model year Beetle. |

No. Maybe "sonnengelb" or one of the other two bright yellow-tones, VW had in 1974/75 (and whose names I don't know, because they weren't used in the K 70-colour range). Let's wait for tore-40. |

Could you be thinking of the 1974 Saturn Yellow (L-13M), or the 1975 Sunflower Yellow or 1976 Sunshine Yellow (both L-13K)? 1974, 1976 and 1977 had no yellow option for standard Beetles in the U.S. brochures. 1975 had the Rallye Yellow (L-10A) and the Chrome Yellow (L-20A), a rather more amber shade, in the U.S. brochure. |

About the colours yes - but note, that not any 1974+-US-feature is visible, at the bumpers for example. |

Speaking of K70, I think that K70ists should purchase 3d-printer to create supply of new spare parts. |

Well keep in mind, this movie was filmed in Ontario, Canada (at least most of it). |

I wonder how many Beetles they used in this movie. |

During interior shots of the car, there are portions of it that were a reddish orange color, so that's probably what color it was originally. |
