OM Tigrotto 35 N or 35 NL http://www.album-mmt.it/details.php?image_id=24906 http://www.album-mmt.it/details.php?image_id=24905 Even http://www.theitalianjob.com/cars_othervehicles.htm says: Sicurezza Bullion Van [...] The van was bought in Turin by the production crew and was almost certainly an OM 'Furgonato', most probably based on the chassis of a 'Tigrotto', a very famous OM truck , which was popular in Italy during the Sixties an early Seventies. [...] It was a regular van when bought, so Disley Jones and his art crew transformed it into a convincing security van. [...] Furgone/Furgonato just means a big closed back for deliveries, like step vans. |

"Furgonato" = "van" in Italian. It is a Leoncino (not Tigrotto: look at the front wheels!) postal delivery van, painted as "how an early Seventies Englisman tought an Italian armoured van shoud look" :-) |
