While I loved this movie, I have to say that the presence of this Alfetta Sedan is far more significant than the "star" fake Ferrari California. Growing up, my father had a collection of Ferraris and his 4 sons all drove Alfettas at one time or another. I have spoken to other Ferrari children who had the same experience. Children of Ferrari owners often drove Alfettas. The placement of that car in the movie was no accident. |

When I was younger, I always thought that this was an old BMW. -- Last edit: 2014-12-16 16:11:49 |

What does the buzzer mean that goes off when Cameron is yelling and revving the engine? It didn't go off the first time he started it up so it can't just be a generic start-up buzzer. |

I think it's supposed to inform the driver about revving the engine while in neutral. Either that, or it's the horn sounding. Which I personally think is the case. He was wearing seatbelts the whole scene. -- Last edit: 2017-05-19 09:58:30 |

What a odd choice for a high school student's beater car. It is possible that John Hughes had some connection to this car? |

With all the K-cars in this movie it's surprising Cameron didn't have an old Dart or Valiant. Of course, then if it wouldn't start he'd just pop in a new ballast resistor and off they'd go. |
