I first heard about this make from the American Pickers page on this site. A user said there was one in an episode although he couldn't remember when. |

^ I bought such Matchbox today too - never heard about this car before Thought there maybe will be more of them on the site (yes, now I already know, they made around 1500 of them - I mean the real ones). Curiosuly Matchbox'es replica has at the back imitations of two extendable tubes hidden in both rear fenders. Text on allpar's forum suggests that the left tube was to meet only in prototype (or prototypes?): Link to "www.allpar.com" Cars with two tubes are to see also on more recent pics, but when they have also the left tube, then they don't have filler cap on the left fender. In Matchbox there are both left tube and ("left") filler cap, placed IMO in such way that they could easily cross each other. Interesting if such version really existed... |
