I don't know anything much about Carabinieri Land Rovers, but there seem to have been a fair few of them judging by the selection of available models from late 1990s. |

I believe that Land Rover provided most of off-road vehicles to national law enforcement, with the Carabinieri getting both Defenders Link to "www.fiammeblu.it" and "riot control" version Discovery. Link to "www.fiammeblu.it" I guess that now will be slowly replaced by Jeeps... |

Ineos the Chemical Co. is looking to build a Land Rover equivalent in a new factory in UK . Personally I think Toyota and Nissan have got the worldwide utlity 4x4 market covered but there is a lot of sentimentalism about Land Rover in UK and elsewhere.
