That is because Jaguar uses Model Years. The 10th digit in the VIN is a 7 -> 2007 MY built in 2006. https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/check-lookup/SAJAC011777N74049 not all vehicles/manufacturers adhere to the MY system. Toyota uses both depending on the market or region (found a US built Highlander without a 10th digit MY (was a 0)). You really have to take each VIN and decode it separately. |
