He must be new in the Senate...

HD version of this movie looks pretty awful with smudged picture, but it seems the dvd version has the same issue. Not at all a vehicularly heavy movie, but the opening credits sequence and a later scene with Mrs. Tynan's station wagon show a lot of passing traffic, most of which is small, smudged, blurry and pretty ugly awful (if first thumb looks weird it's because it's a view from the inside of an underpass/tunnel):
