 OK then. Now it's time to pick and choose and up-load. No light work, because most of the movie is shot on roads and streets, mainly by night, from dusk to dawn. It's not gonna be a piece of cake.

But we're used to this with Jean-Pierre Mocky.

 What's left—police and gendarmerie vehicles, other cars, some trucks, nothing exotic, mainly French and German, but some important—later. My connexion shows signs of exhaustion, and I just have broken my favourite mug (and spilled the coffee in it, naturally). I have to morn for a while.

Un des films "politiques" post-1968 de Jean-Pierre Mocky.

À l'aborder, on peut craindre un peu ou beaucoup. Eh bien, c'est très très agrippant, comme truc. Et ce malgré les maladresses, naïvetés ou négligences. Et malgré la musique de Léo Ferré vraiment pas terrible.

Mocky, qui notoirement n'est pas le meilleur acteur de la terre, tient son premier rôle fort bien.

Et Marion Game

est épatante.

Nombre d'habitués de Mocky, Chauffard, Marcel Pérès, et plein d'autres.

Une extraordinaire séquence sert de sommet au film…

… au terme de laquelle le héros, qui se rend à la police…

"Eh oh ! Mais…" … se prend trois balles dans le buffet, tandis que sa kidnappée bientôt rendue à ses raisons (pas par syndrome de Stockholm, mais parce qu'elle a été témoin de la corruption de son père) écope aussi.

"— Pourquoi avez-vous tiré sur eux ?
— Ça énerve les gens de voir faire l'amour. Pas vous ?"

La dernière image du film est un hommage…

… à… zut, j'ai oublié : le film où à la fin, Humphrey Bogart tend le combiné du téléphone pour faire entendre au boss des gangsters, à l'autre bout du fil, le bruit des rotatives.

Bon, ici, Paul Muller (Cavalier) et André Le Gall (Grim) jouent deux politiciens aussi corrompus l'un que l'autre.

Bref, si vous pouvez, voyez donc ça.

Political movie, but not heavy on the political stance, except to show how politics implie corruption. Mainly a long chase, the hero being an escaped convict we follow until he meets death. Actually, much gripping, and finally very good.

If you are not certain specifically where it is located, can I say this is at Alsace-Champagne-Ardenne-Lorraine, France region?

 Well, rjluna2, I think it must be in Bas-Rhin —close to Strasbourg— and not in Moselle (the beginning of the movie is happening there, and some sequences were shot there).

But if I don't sound assertive enough to your ears, "Alsace-Moselle" (an older denomination, but still correct on the ecclesiastical point of view) would fit.
