Following an accident he discovers that his body chemistry makes him she very slowly...making him almost immortal. His employer finds out and wants to keep him in a secure location to serve as his personal blood donor, this prolonging his life, so the hero takes off to avoid being locked up forever. The test driver plot explains the use of high perch and sports cars.
