Starring Roger Maris, Mickey Mantle, Bryan Russel, and William Frawley once more, in his last movie. Despite being top-billed, Maris and Mantle don't appear until almost 40 minutes in and are only in the movie for, at absolute best, 40% of it. Mickey Mantle can hold his own against the seasoned actors but Roger Maris' acting is very stiff and he doesn't seem too comfortable in front of the camera. This is the fifth baseball movie I've added that William Frawley (aka Fred Mertz) was in.
