 :think: It's said, that the street scenes were filmed in the courtyard of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aachen_Cathedral and that no outdoor-scenes were filmed in studios.
But of course then with CGI-help. Some buildings, for example that on the Rolls-Royce-page aren't German style, also not that style, which is common in the far Western areas around Aachen (with slight Franco-Belgian influences).
Some months ago I've been in Aachen (after picking up NOS-K 70-spares in the Eifel) and there are really no such heavily French-style buildings as visible here.

 From the German Wikpedia entry, I see that the school in the video clip is the Schloss Ehrenburg in Coburg:

P.S The article says that Victorian London scenes were filmed in Bayreuth, so perhaps they filmed modern London scenes there too.
