I have been watching Matt Helm lately after finding it uploaded into archive.org. Tony Franciosa makes a very pleasant Matt Helm. Familiar faces from the 1970s play supporting roles. Pity that the series ran only for 14 episodes due to low ratings. But then, Matt Helm had to compete for airtime with several other detectives on 1970s American television; that was the golden age of American TV private eyes. I love the cars though I realize that all of them were choked by emissions controls. |

Two TV detectives used the 1st generation Ford Thunderbird as their vehicles - Matt Helm and Dan Tanna (Robert Urich in Vega$). I have seen both shows. |
