Curiously sporting oval German export plates.

Seems to have had a rather exciting trip from Germany, then ... :wow:

How damaged the plate is. Obviously it was a longer time in use - surely longer than the insurance was valid. At these old oval export-plates you couldn't see the expiring date.

Anyways, quite often noone is interested in this expiring-date. I've seen a plenty of cars with since a long time expired German, French or other export-plates for example in Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey or the Canary Islands.

On Gran Canaria I've seen self-made stickers (on German plates the sticker are the important thing), in Namibia I've seen a Hymer-Camper, where the owner has cutted off the expiring-date of the export-plates. Just two examples.
