The -true- story behind it is very interesting, a today's unknown episode of the Cold War. A GDR-couple, which made several tries to get out of their country had hijacked a Polish airplane (with a toy-revolver) and forced to West-Berlin.

It was a very complicated -political and juristical- process. At first: who is responsible for the punishment? West-Berlin was under control of the Allied Nations until 1990, it doesn't belong to Germany.

The book about it, written by the US-judge himself, is very interesting, too (unfortunately I cannot find it any more in my GDR-literature-collection :( )
