I use DVD Shrink to break the protection and output to file, then DVD2AVI to output simple frames (much faster to use than VLC). Pain-free, until you realise that wide-screen aspect is outputted as 4:3. So I had to correct the ratio, and it looks like I put this to 1:66 rather than 1:85, possibly one evening when I was drinking too much
